Race #1 is in the books and Mike “Hollywood” Murray takes the first win of the 2011 MWTS/Quarter-Max Race Series. Mike had raced in the 2010 Midwest Top Sportsman Series for his first time as a Top Sportsman racer.  Mike had some bad luck with mechanical gremlins. After a long winter Mike had replaced the engine in his car with an old iron head 396 with spray. Well his new combonation turned out to be a winner. Between the cars consistentcy and Mikes killer reaction times, he had the winning package. Mike said he could not have done this without his dad/ crew chief. Mike had also mentioned he wished his mother was there to see his win. He does appreciate the Midwest Top Sportsman Association and all they have done. He is glad to be part of it’s family and looks forward on a great season of racing.  Mike stated he is going to run T/S & S/P in 2011. We wish Mike and his crew the best of luck in 2011.
