MWTS has a Jr Crew Chief at Div #3 Race

Drag Racing always has always entertained kids for decades. But at the 2011 Division 3 Race at Route 66 Raceway, the Midwest Top Sportsman Association had a special "Jr Crew Chief" of the event. A 15 year old named Austin Nickols. Austin was Jr Crew Chief on Brian Browns Top Sportsman team for the event. Sam Smith and Brian Brown had informed the

association about Austin and organized for him to be there, Austin has leukemia. Leukemia is cancer of the blood cells. It starts in the bone marrow, the soft tissue inside most bones. Bone marrow is where blood cells are made. He is from Cresthill, IL and loves drag racing. Austin and his family where invited to the event, to give him a first hand experiance of what it's like to be a Top Sportsman racer. From the time he came into the pits, till the time the event ended Austin had a smile from ear to ear. Other suprizes where instore for him as he was invited into TJ Zizzo's Top Fuel Dragster Pits And Mike Coughlins Pits(JEGS). We where all very touched by Austin and all of us hope to have done the same for him. We wish him the best and hope to see him at future races.
